Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un exchanged congratulatory messages on Saturday marking the 65th anniversary of the China-DPRK Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.
Xi said the treaty has served as an important foundation for bilateral ties, helping strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries and contributing to regional peace and stability. He said China is willing to deepen strategic communication with North Korea and continue advancing friendly cooperation.
Kim said the treaty remains a symbol of the two countries’ long-standing relationship, describing China-DPRK ties as a strategic partnership built on mutual support and shared interests. Both leaders pledged to further strengthen cooperation and guide bilateral relations into a new era.
