A promotional event for the fifth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday, bringing together officials, scholars, and other participants from both countries. Speakers at the event said the book offers insight into China’s governance model and development path, and can help deepen understanding of Chinese modernization. Sri Lankan officials, including the parliamentary speaker and education deputy minister, said the publication could support stronger Sri Lanka-China cooperation and provide useful ideas for countries pursuing development. The event also highlighted efforts to expand bilateral ties under the Belt and Road framework and strengthen the “shared future” partnership between the two countries.
