Xi Jinping calls on Party members to rely on the people to achieve great feats

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday called for relying on the people to drive China’s future development, saying the country’s achievements depend on the strength and unity of its people.

Speaking at a gathering marking the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xi said upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics is a shared mission of the Party and people. He urged Party members to remain committed and innovative while promoting high-quality development through the new development philosophy.

Xi also emphasized a people-centered approach, the advancement of whole-process people’s democracy, and greater unity among all ethnic groups and Chinese people at home and abroad to support the country’s modernization efforts.
