Malaysia has extended its agreement with Ocean Infinity for another 12 months to continue the search for the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
The renewed deal, which runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, retains the “no find, no fee” arrangement, meaning the government will only pay Ocean Infinity up to $70 million if the aircraft is successfully located.
The extension will allow the company to search the remaining 7,428-square-kilometer target area. MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014, while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board, and its disappearance remains one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
