Chinese premier attends symposium with business representatives at Summer Davos

At the 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos) in Dalian, Chinese Premier Li Qiang held a symposium with around 150 international business representatives from more than 30 countries and regions.

Li emphasized that openness and cooperation remain a long-term global trend and reaffirmed that China will continue expanding its engagement in international trade and investment. He said China aims to further integrate its domestic market with global markets, increase imports of high-quality goods, and promote more balanced trade relationships.

He also highlighted China’s industrial strengths, arguing that they come from a complete industrial system, a large domestic market, and sustained innovation rather than subsidies. According to Li, China’s subsidy policies comply with WTO rules, and future upgrades in manufacturing, infrastructure, and market development will create new opportunities for foreign investors.

Business leaders at the event expressed confidence in China’s long-term economic prospects, noting its progress in areas such as green transformation and technological innovation, and signaling continued investment interest in the Chinese market.
