Across Europe, many voices marking nearly 10 years since Brexit said the UK’s decision to leave the EU was a mistake and that closer ties or even rejoining would be beneficial.
People in cities including Paris, Brussels, Warsaw and Rome pointed to economic downsides, reduced mobility, and political fragmentation, arguing that Brexit has left both the UK and Europe weaker.
A recent poll also suggests a majority of Britons now believe leaving the EU was wrong, reflecting shifting public sentiment since the 2016 referendum.
