Ghana opened their World Cup campaign with a late 1-0 win over Panama in Toronto, thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Caleb Yirenkyi.
The match was tightly contested, with few clear chances and both teams struggling to break through. Ghana improved after halftime and finally scored in the 95th minute to secure all three points.
Coach Carlos Queiroz, at his fifth World Cup, celebrated the win despite missing key midfielder Thomas Partey, who was ruled out due to visa issues.
