China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke by phone with Pakistan’s foreign minister about the Iran–US memorandum, which Pakistan helped mediate.
Pakistan thanked China for its support in the process, while Wang praised Pakistan’s role and said peace efforts must continue as only a first step has been achieved.
He emphasized that negotiations will become more difficult and warned against renewed conflict, urging all parties to maintain dialogue. China also called for broader international support, including from the UN, to help sustain the peace process in the Middle East.
