Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Saturday that he and Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg reached broad consensus on bilateral ties and regional cooperation during talks in Beijing.
The two sides agreed to continue promoting a China-Mongolia community with a shared future, deepen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and Mongolia’s Prairie Road strategy, and expand collaboration in emerging sectors. Wang also said both countries reaffirmed mutual respect for sovereignty and core interests, while pledging closer coordination in regional and international affairs, including within the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and APEC.
