China’s Foreign Ministry has urged the international community to remain vigilant against what it described as a resurgence of militarism in Japan.
Spokesperson Lin Jian said Japan’s defense policy is shifting despite its claims of maintaining an exclusively defense-oriented stance, pointing to increased military spending, expanded missile deployments and policy changes on weapons exports. He warned that such developments suggest a departure from Japan’s postwar “peaceful nation” image and called on the international community to prevent any return of militarism.
