AI company Anthropic on Tuesday announced the public rollout of Claude Fable 5, its most powerful AI model to date, while adding safeguards to prevent its use for cybersecurity-related activities.
The model is based on the earlier Mythos system, which gained attention after reportedly identifying thousands of software vulnerabilities during limited testing. Anthropic said Fable 5 excels in software engineering and analytics but will refuse requests related to finding cyber vulnerabilities.
The rollout comes as Anthropic, valued at $965 billion, competes with OpenAI in the race to expand advanced AI services and prepare for a potential public listing.
