China’s annual national college entrance examination, the Gaokao, entered its second day on Monday as candidates prepared to take their English exam. While Monday marks the final day of testing for some, students in the 29 provincial regions that have adopted the new exam system will continue taking subject exams through Tuesday or Wednesday. To ensure a smooth testing environment, transportation departments have urged candidates to commute early using public transit, while encouraging the general public to travel outside peak hours and asking drivers to yield to vehicles transporting students. Additionally, traffic police, medical personnel, and volunteers remain deployed near exam sites to maintain order and provide comprehensive assistance to the students
