Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Beijing on Sunday for a state visit to China lasting through May 28.
During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang are expected to hold talks with Vučić on bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues.
Serbia is the first European country to agree with China on building a “community with a shared future for the new era” and is considered an important Chinese partner in Southeast Europe.
In recent years, China and Serbia have expanded cooperation in trade, infrastructure, cultural exchanges and multilateral coordination, while maintaining strong political ties and mutual support on key issues. China said it hopes the visit will further strengthen what both sides describe as an “iron-clad friendship.”
