Xi Jinping has called for accelerating the development of a Chinese intellectual system in philosophy and social sciences, according to an instruction on advancing the sector’s high-quality development.
He highlighted progress made since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, noting advances in knowledge, theory, and methodology. Xi urged deeper academic interpretation of the Party’s latest theories and stronger research capacity.
He also stressed the need to better address questions arising from China, the world, society, and the current era, with the goal of contributing to Chinese modernization.
