China’s Ministry of Education announced on Thursday that preparations are underway for the 2026 World Digital Education Conference in Hangzhou. Ahead of the event, the World Digital Education Alliance has received nearly 40 new membership applications, signaling a significant expansion of its global professional network. The alliance plans to host its general assembly on May 11 to discuss strategic development and membership optimization to better support international cooperation in the digital sector.
As part of the conference activities, the alliance will launch the first Global Youth Artificial Intelligence Study Camp from May 10 to 14. The program will bring together high school students from 23 countries, including Russia, Egypt, and Thailand, for hands-on learning in areas like 3D printing, drone flight control, and AI programming. This initiative aims to foster innovation and international exchange among young people while improving their practical digital skills.
