Five people were injured in two shooting incidents in Athens on Tuesday, according to Greek broadcaster ERT.
An 89-year-old suspect allegedly first opened fire at a social security office in the Petralona area, injuring one employee, then later shot four more people near the city’s Magistrates’ Court before fleeing. All reported injuries were minor.
Authorities say the suspect has a history of psychiatric treatment and left the shotgun behind after the second attack. A large police search is ongoing across Athens.
