Wang Yi said China and Cambodia reached a six-point consensus during their first “2+2” strategic dialogue between foreign and defense ministers in Phnom Penh.
Both sides agreed to strengthen mutual political support, including Cambodia’s reaffirmation of the one-China principle, and to deepen economic cooperation through projects like industrial and agricultural development corridors.
They also pledged closer coordination on security, law enforcement—particularly against telecom fraud—and defense cooperation, while enhancing collaboration in regional and global affairs and supporting multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations.
