Nanjing Massacre survivors pay tribute to deceased family members

A 92-year-old survivor of the Nanjing Massacre, Liu Minsheng, paid tribute to his family during a commemoration held ahead of Qingming Festival, expressing grief over losing his parents decades ago.

The remembrance highlighted the lasting trauma of the massacre, during which more than 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers were killed after Japanese forces captured Nanjing in 1937. Liu, who was three years old at the time, lost his father, who was taken by invading troops and never seen again.
