Xi Jinping has called for deeper political rectification within China’s military to ensure discipline, loyalty and integrity ahead of the 100th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army in 2027.
Speaking at a training session for senior officers in Beijing, Xi emphasized the importance of firm ideological commitment, adherence to Party leadership and the rejection of corruption and personal gain. He urged officials to uphold strict discipline, follow regulations without exception and carry forward the military’s traditional values.
Xi also stressed unity and accountability within the armed forces, expressing confidence that a more disciplined and cohesive military will strengthen China’s efforts to build a modern and capable army.
