Severe weather across Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has resulted in at least 45 deaths and over 100 injuries since late March. Most casualties, which include 23 children, were caused by collapsing roofs and walls triggered by persistent heavy rains. The storms have also damaged over 440 homes and caused significant local flooding. With more rain forecasted from April 6 to 9, disaster management authorities have issued warnings to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and stay clear of vulnerable areas.
