Wang Yi met Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Beijing to discuss the Iran situation, with both sides exchanging views on regional tensions and global issues.
Wang said Pakistan’s mediation efforts in the Middle East align with the interests of all parties and expressed China’s support for its role in easing tensions and promoting peace talks. He added China is willing to work with Pakistan to help end hostilities.
On bilateral ties, Wang noted the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan relations and called for deeper cooperation. Dar reaffirmed the strong partnership, thanked China for its support, and stressed that negotiation is the only way to resolve the conflict.
Both sides also proposed measures to help restore peace and stability in the Gulf region.
