The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee held a meeting on Friday, chaired by Xi Jinping, to review regulations on the work of local Party committees.
The meeting stressed that local committees must uphold the authority and unified leadership of the central leadership while adapting policies to local conditions with initiative and creativity.
It also called for practical efforts to promote high-quality development, improve people’s well-being, and safeguard national security and social stability.
Officials were urged to strengthen decision-making rules, oversight mechanisms, and professional competence, while ensuring disciplined and law-based governance.
