At the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026, Zhao Leji highlighted the forum’s 25-year role in promoting regional cooperation and called for stronger multilateralism amid global uncertainty. He emphasized that unity among countries is essential to address shared challenges and build a better future. Zhao also underscored China’s contribution to global economic growth, noting its steady expansion and significant role in the world economy. Looking ahead, he said China is prepared to host the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and work with partners to strengthen regional development. The conference, attended by around 2,000 participants from over 60 countries, focuses on fostering cooperation and shared progress.
