IAEA reiterates call for maximum restraint after new attack on Bushehr nuclear plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that a projectile struck the premises of Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, according to information from Iranian authorities. Iran stated that the attack caused no damage to the facility, no injuries to staff, and that operations remain normal. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi renewed his call for maximum restraint to prevent nuclear safety risks amid the ongoing conflict. The incident is part of a series of strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities since US-Israeli military actions began on February 28.
