China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao will attend the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Yaounde, Yaounde, from March 26 to 29. The meeting comes at a time when global trade faces challenges like protectionism and economic uncertainty. More than 160 members will discuss issues such as trade reform, development, and food security. China says it will play an active role by helping build agreement among countries and supporting the global trading system. It also plans to host a meeting on Africa’s industrial growth and investment, aiming to help developing countries benefit more from international trade.
