Argentina officially withdrew from the World Health Organization on Tuesday, following the example of the United States earlier this year, Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno confirmed.
The government of President Javier Milei had announced the decision a year ago, and the withdrawal is now complete under international treaty timelines. Quirno said Argentina will continue promoting health cooperation through bilateral and regional agreements while maintaining full sovereignty over its health policies.
