Alibaba launched an enterprise AI platform called Wukong, stepping up competition in China’s fast-growing AI agent market amid the popularity of OpenClaw. The platform coordinates multiple AI agents to handle complex office tasks such as document editing, spreadsheets, meeting transcription and research in one interface. It is currently in invitation-only beta testing.
The release followed Alibaba’s restructuring under the new Alibaba Token Hub, which signals a broader push into enterprise AI tools. Wukong is developed by the group’s Wukong Business Unit.
Users can run Wukong as a desktop app or through DingTalk, which serves over 20 million business users. The platform will also integrate with Slack, Microsoft Teams and WeChat.
Rising interest in AI agents has pushed more tech firms into the space, including ByteDance, Tencent and Zhipu AI.
