Donald Trump said he is considering a limited military strike against Iran to pressure it into a nuclear agreement, according to remarks he made at the White House. His comments followed a report by The Wall Street Journal that he is weighing an initial strike on Iranian military or government targets, with the possibility of a broader campaign if Tehran refuses U.S. demands.
Trump said Iran has about 10 to 15 days to reach a deal and suggested that “regime change” could be beneficial. U.S. officials say no final decision has been made and that multiple options remain under consideration.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Iran will present a draft nuclear proposal within days and expressed confidence that a fair agreement is possible. In an interview with MSNBC, he criticized the U.S. military buildup in the region as unnecessary and stressed that diplomacy is the only solution, while adding that Iran is prepared for both negotiation and conflict.
