Chinese Premier Li Qiang called for speeding up the revitalization of old revolutionary base areas during an inspection tour in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, on Monday and Tuesday.
Li emphasized implementing supportive policies, fostering competitive industries, improving public services, and consolidating anti-poverty achievements to boost local development. He also stressed the role of technology and the cultivation of industries with strong brand recognition and wider impact.
During the tour, Li visited rural villages, talking with residents and officials about income, jobs, medical care, and social support. He also toured the Ganjiang Innovation Academy and rare earth companies, reviewing research progress and industrial operations.
Li highlighted the need for proper development of rare earth resources, stronger ecological standards, full-cycle green development, and faster technological breakthroughs. He called for expanding applications in new energy and materials while improving supply chain coordination to enhance the sector’s quality and performance.
