Xi commends hard work, contributions of delivery workers during inspection tour in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday praised the contributions of delivery workers during an inspection tour in Beijing.

While visiting a community canteen for seniors, Xi spoke with three delivery workers who were taking a break, asking about their work and daily lives. He acknowledged their role in supporting households across the city and said urban life depends on workers like them.

Xi also called on Party committees and governments at all levels to strengthen support for workers in new forms of employment, urging improved services to assist with their work, living conditions and professional development.
