Trade between China and the five Central Asian countries surpassed $100 billion for the first time in 2025, marking a milestone in their partnership, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said. He highlighted that economic and trade ties grew strongly despite global economic challenges, supported by Belt and Road cooperation and strengthened China-Central Asia mechanisms. Guo noted that the Second China-Central Asia Summit helped usher in a new phase of high-quality cooperation, and China is committed to deepening collaboration and building a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future.
