Hainan Free Trade Port has recorded more than 100,000 registered foreign trade entities, according to customs data released on Wednesday. Between December 18, 2025, and January 10, a total of 4,709 new entities were registered, highlighting rapid growth in the port’s trade sector.
The launch of island-wide special customs operations in December has expanded zero-tariff coverage, eased market access for overseas goods, and introduced more streamlined business procedures. These measures have significantly increased interest from market participants, with government service hotlines now receiving over 100 consultation calls daily.
The figures reflect strong momentum in Hainan’s development as a key hub for China’s high-level opening-up and international trade.
