Hong Kong’s high-speed rail network will add 16 new destinations starting January 26, connecting West Kowloon Station to popular mainland cities like Nanjing, Wuxi, and Hefei. This will increase the total direct destinations from Hong Kong to 110.
The Shanghai Hongqiao sleeper train will begin daily operations instead of Friday to Monday, and services to and from stations like Guangzhounan will see increased frequency. MTR Corporation said the expansion aims to improve cross-boundary travel, boost economic potential, and support national development.
