The joint maritime exercise “Will for Peace 2026” will take place in early to mid-January off Simon’s Town, South Africa, with participation from BRICS countries including China, Russia, and South Africa.
The exercise, themed “Joint Actions to Ensure the Safety of Key Shipping Lanes and Maritime Economic Activities,” will include counter-terrorism and rescue operations, anti-sea strikes, professional exchanges, and on-board tours. It aims to strengthen military cooperation and improve participants’ ability to address maritime threats together.
