Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met his Tanzanian counterpart in Dar es Salaam and called for stronger China-Africa friendship and cooperation. He highlighted the long history of China-Tanzania relations and reaffirmed China’s tradition of making Africa its first diplomatic destination each year.
Wang said China and Africa share mutual trust based on jointly upholding justice, supporting each other’s core interests, and advancing South-South cooperation. He emphasized shared goals of modernization, mutual benefit, and win-win development.
China pledged to deepen cooperation with Tanzania in areas such as agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and infrastructure, including the revitalization of the Tanzania-Zambia Railway, to further strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.
