China’s Ministry of Commerce has launched an anti-dumping investigation into dichlorosilane (DCS) imports from Japan, used in semiconductor manufacturing. Domestic producers reported that Japanese DCS prices dropped 31% from 2022 to 2024 while import volumes increased, allegedly harming China’s domestic industry. The ministry said the probe will follow legal procedures, protect the rights of all parties, and result in an impartial ruling.
