The Shenzhou-21 crew—Zhang Lu, Wu Fei, and Zhang Hongzhang—completed a full week of in-orbit activities, including space science experiments, the first full-system pressure emergency drill, and routine maintenance. They conducted microgravity physics experiments, analyzed urine metabolites with a Raman spectrometer, and installed new software for space-medicine studies.
In microgravity physical sciences, the crew replaced equipment and performed module assembly tasks. The emergency drill simulated station depressurization, enhancing coordination with ground control. Routine inspections included life-support systems, freezers, and environmental gas cylinders, while station management involved organizing supplies and cleaning.
Medical assessments, including non-invasive cardiac tests, were also performed to monitor crew health throughout the mission.
