The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai, highlighting China’s commitment to global cooperation and high-level opening-up. Premier Li Qiang pledged further reforms to expand market access and support the service industry.
The six-day event, the largest ever, features exhibitors from 155 countries and 290 Fortune 500 companies. New technologies such as Tesla’s Cybercab and Johnson Controls’ green heat pump were unveiled.
Beyond exhibitions, the CIIE has become a key platform for investment and cooperation, generating over $500 billion in intended deals since its launch. This year also includes a new area for least developed countries and a Global South sub-forum, emphasizing inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
