Xi: China, Russia should create new cooperation growth points

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing, urging enhanced cooperation and synergy of development strategies.

Xi stressed that maintaining bilateral relations is a strategic choice, asking for full implementation of common understandings reached with President Putin earlier this year. He called for expanding mutual investment and cooperation in both traditional areas (energy, agriculture) and new sectors (artificial intelligence, digital economy, green development). Xi highlighted that China’s push for high-quality development will bring opportunities for collaboration.

Mishustin affirmed Russia’s commitment to implementing the consensus set by the two presidents, expressing willingness to deepen cooperation in areas like trade, technology, and energy, strengthening their comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.
