Chinese Premier Li Qiang said China is ready to work with Singapore and ASEAN to advance the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and achieve greater development.
During his visit, he emphasized strengthening strategic communication, political trust, and cooperation in areas like trade, the digital economy, green development, and AI, while promoting multilateralism, free trade, and inclusive globalization.
Li also highlighted opportunities from China’s 15th Five-Year Plan to deepen economic and people-to-people cooperation and invited more Singaporean enterprises to explore China’s market.
Singapore’s Acting President Eddie Teo welcomed the partnership, noting 35 years of diplomatic ties, and pledged closer alignment in strategy, trade, and ASEAN-China relations to promote regional and global development.
