Cambodia and Thailand signed a joint declaration on peace during the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul pledged to strengthen cooperation and fully implement the declaration to ensure lasting peace and improve bilateral relations.
The move follows deadly border clashes on July 24 that left over 100 people dead or injured. Earlier, on August 7, both countries agreed to a ceasefire, promising to maintain current troop positions and avoid further escalation.
