The 20th CPC Central Committee held its 4th plenary session in Beijing (Oct 20–23, 2025), led by Xi Jinping. It reviewed the Political Bureau’s work, approved guidelines for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), and affirmed progress toward completing the 14th Five-Year Plan.
The Party praised achievements under Xi’s leadership, including economic recovery, technological progress, national security, military modernization, social stability, and preparation for long-term development. It stressed that China remains resilient despite global uncertainties.
The 15th Five-Year Plan will focus on high-quality growth, innovation, technological self-reliance, reform, stronger domestic demand, socialist modernization by 2035, rural revitalization, green development, cultural advancement, national security, defense modernization, and Party self-governance.
The Party emphasized upholding Xi Jinping’s core leadership, Marxist ideology, socialism with Chinese characteristics, and centralized authority. It called for unity, risk management, reform, stability in Hong Kong and Macao, peaceful development across the Taiwan Strait, and active global cooperation.
Personnel changes were approved, and corrupt officials were expelled. The Party urged all members and citizens to rally around Xi and work toward national rejuvenation.
