Shanghai Shenhua earned their first AFC Champions League Elite win of the season, beating Seoul 2-0 at home. Luis Nlavo opened the scoring in the 57th minute, and Andre Luis sealed the victory in the 89th. The win moves Shenhua to fifth place with four points from three games.
In another match, Gangwon defeated Vissel Kobe 4-3 in South Korea. Gangwon led 3-0 by the 43rd minute, but Vissel Kobe fought back to 3-3 before Kim Gun-hee scored the stoppage-time winner. Gangwon now sits third with six points, tied with Vissel Kobe on points, while Ulsan leads the group with seven points.
