Seven years after opening, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge has handled over 93.34 million passenger trips. The 55-km bridge, the world’s longest sea crossing, has seen traffic grow steadily—from 12.88 million passengers and 860,000 vehicles in 2019 to over 25.1 million passengers and 5.46 million vehicles so far this year. Expanded mainland travel has boosted tourism, with over 10.15 million mainland visitors in 2025. The bridge cuts travel time between Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao from three hours to about 45 minutes, and daily vehicle flow at Zhuhai port has doubled from 9,000 to over 18,000.
