The 2025 National Day holiday box office in China reached 1.835 billion yuan (about $258 million) from 50.07 million moviegoers, with a 12.82% year-on-year increase in screenings. Domestic films dominated, earning 98.93% of the total revenue. The average ticket price dropped by 9.28% to 36.64 yuan (about $5.15). The top five films included “The Volunteers: Blood and Peace” and “Evil Unbound.” Audience satisfaction hit a four-year high of 85.4 points. As of October 8, China’s 2025 total box office had already reached 43.789 billion yuan (about $6.15 billion), marking an 18.98% year-on-year increase and exceeding the entire 2024 total.
