Arab, Muslim leaders to meet in Qatar to denounce Israeli attack

Qatar will host an Arab and Muslim leaders’ summit Monday to denounce Israel’s strike on Hamas officials in Doha, which killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said the meeting aims to show solidarity and reject what he called Israel’s “state terrorism.” A draft resolution will be prepared Sunday. Leaders attending include Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s participation is unconfirmed. The attack, condemned internationally, was viewed across the Gulf as a violation of sovereignty and diplomacy. Analysts say the summit is meant to send Israel a clear warning and reinforce support for Palestine.
