China and South Korea held a joint ceremony on Friday at Incheon International Airport to transfer the remains and belongings of 30 Chinese People’s Volunteers soldiers who died during the Korean War (1950–1953). This marked the 12th annual handover since 2014, bringing the total number of Chinese soldiers repatriated to 1,011. The event was attended by Chinese Vice Minister of Veterans Affairs Ma Feixiong and Ambassador Dai Bing, who placed national flags on the coffins before they were escorted by an honor guard and flown back to China. Both sides emphasized that the cooperation demonstrates their commitment to friendship, humanitarian values, and building a peaceful future beyond historical divisions. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy, enterprises, and students in South Korea also took part in the ceremony.
