The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened Wednesday at Shougang Park in Beijing under the theme “Embrace Intelligent Technologies, Empower Trade in Services.” The event has drawn participants from 85 countries and nearly 2,000 companies, including major global firms like Walmart, AstraZeneca and KPMG.
China highlighted record services trade surpassing $1 trillion in 2024, with reforms expanding market access in telecoms and healthcare. Australia, the guest country of honor, sent 60 companies, while other nations emphasized opportunities in sectors such as education, health and tourism.
The five-day fair also serves as an innovation hub, with over 190 new products and technologies being launched, alongside forums, business talks and cultural events.
