Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has proposed a new format to the U.S. for protecting its airspace. The announcement followed a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” in Paris, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European leaders.
Speaking at a press conference, French President Emmanuel Macron said 26 countries, mostly European, have pledged to deploy troops to support a future Russian-Ukrainian ceasefire, though not on the front line. Zelenskyy called the pledge a “concrete” step and emphasized that talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin are needed to advance peace efforts.
Meanwhile, Russia criticized the U.S. approval of 3,350 air-launched Extended-Range Attack Munitions for Ukraine, calling it counterproductive to diplomatic efforts and warning it could prolong the conflict.
