The China-Russia co-produced film Red Silk premiered in Beijing as part of the 2025 Russian Film Festival. The movie tells the story of Chinese and Russian comrades fighting together on secret fronts.
Officials attending included Shen Haixiong, Mao Yu, Alina Kabaeva, and Russian ambassador Igor Morgulov. Both Chinese and Russian organizers said the film reflects growing cultural exchanges and will strengthen collaboration between the two countries.
Red Silk has already been a success in Russia, and its release in China aims to promote cultural understanding and people-to-people connections. The festival, running until September 12, follows earlier film exchanges like the 2025 Chinese Film Festival in Russia.
